Job Description/Responsibilities
The Account Manager position requires the individual to assume several roles including but not limited to:
- Cold calling businesses to build awareness on our creative and innovative marketing strategy
- Sign up businesses to be featured on Groucher.com
- Following up with businesses to elicit feedback
- Ask for referrals
- Build subscriber base
- Grass Roots (Friends/Family/Facebook/Twitter/)
- Marketing: Implement marketing campaigns both on our own and from Groucher Corporate
- Flexibility in working with a fast growing start up
- Assume the role of the point person between the business and Groucher.com in designated city
- Work with community leaders
Qualifications/Skills
You must be personable, have an extroverted personality, be well-organized, have excellent communication skills, ability to manage a territory, and be self-motivated and a self-starter. You will be responsible for calling businesses (restaurants, spas, boutique stores, etc) and signing those businesses up to be featured on groucher.com. Previous sales experience and the ability to prospect, develop, and pipeline out businesses will be crucial to an individual's success in this role. Effective communication both with businesses as well as Groucher corporate are crucial to being successful as an Account Manager.
Education/Background
A Bachelor’s Degree and sales experience are a plus for this position.
Compensation: Commission
